Lots of you have been asking for a listen again option for our Bach, the Universe and Everything series at Kings Place, so here it is!

In this first episode of our new podcast, Professor Suzanne Aigrain (Professor of Astrophysics, Oxford University) discusses her research into the worlds beyond our solar system, and we hear a reading from Lucretius’ poem On the Nature of Things, read by our Principal Horn, Roger Montgomery.

There’s also an aria from JS Bach’s cantata Herr, wie du willst (Lord, deal with me as Thou wilt).

In partnership with the Institute of Physics.

  • Thanks so much for the podcast! As a big fan of these events it’s wonderful to listen again – particularly for people like me who are musicians and not scientists! Just a little more of the music would improve the podcast of course….
Look forward to listening again to Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock’s whirlwind talk in due course.
