We are Made of Star Stuff

Pioneering astronomer Jocelyn Bell Burnell joins us for our Sunday morning series mixing music and science, perfect for inquiring and curious minds.

As a postgraduate student Dame Jocelyn discovered the rotating neutron stars known as pulsars, considered to be one of the greatest astronomic discoveries of the 20th century. To accompany Bach’s Palm Sunday BWV 182, she’ll be discussing how, in the end, we are all made of star stuff.

Our very own Sunday service is a place to bond with music lovers and revel in the wonders of science. There is no better way to start a Sunday morning.

In this concert we’ll be playing Bach’s cantata, Himmelskönig, sei willkommen (King of Heaven, welcome).

In partnership with the Institute of Physics.
