Violinist Rachel Podger joins us for Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in a programme that also includes his upbeat Concerto in E. Another concerto comes in the form of the dramatic and elegant concerto in G minor from the now little-known Pisendel, one of the most accomplished violinists of his day – and a composer whose music influenced Vivaldi, Telemann and others.

OAE Extras at 5.45pm, auditorium, free admission.

Bach and the violin OAE leaders past and present discuss Bach’s music for the violin, as well as life as an OAE leader.
