Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment

New music ensemble Notes inégales presents the latest London ‘club night’ collaborations- this time with the OAE.
Directed by composer Peter Wiegold, Notes inégales set the tone with their own intuitive music-making in the informal setting of its cosy central London basement bar. The club will be welcoming three OAE musicians who will take period instruments (including a harpsichord) underground (literally!) to play Purcell’s When I am laid in earth, Handel’s violin sonata G minor op.1 number 6, and an ‘OAE REMIX’, before joining the band in a fully improvised set based on what’s played earlier in the evening.
