London, we know, has but two seasons: rainy and a bit less rainy…so it’s time we made up for it. This February, we join forces with acclaimed choreographer Henri Oguike, to introduce an entirely new dimension to Vivaldi’s seminal masterpiece, when The Night Shift dances The Four Seasons.
As the allegedly sex obsessed rock star of classical music, no one knows better than Vivaldi what a good makeover can do for the libido (and four seasons in one night can be tough on the old skin…) Fusing period performance with contemporary dance, we’re giving a fresh face to this incredible set of concertos, while staying true to what the composer wanted. What results is an opportunity to hear the Four Seasons as Vivaldi intended it, while feasting your eyes on brand new visual interpretations.
Of course, you can drink, chat and clap when you like. Presented from the stage by the BBC’s Alistair Appleton and featuring acclaimed violinist Kati Debretzeni, it’s a landmark moment in Night Shift history. Plus there’ll be live music in the bar from 8pm and a DJ set afterward until late.
