We return to our Southbank Centre home for another evening of live music in a relaxed and laid-back setting.
This concert is presented from the stage by Alistair Appleton and features music from classical superstar Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including his Horn Concerto No.4, a real show-off piece for the soloist, plus Symphony No.36 – one of a modest 41 symphonies that Mozart penned…
Often Mozart’s music comes across as just pretty and nice, but in the hands of tonight’s violinist and director Maggie Faultless (no conductor this time around!) and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, we’ll be showing just how passionate and exciting this music really is. Our star horn soloist is the Orchestra’s very own Principal Horn, Roger Montgomery.
Drinks are (as always) welcome in the hall, you can clap when you want and you can come and go whenever.
Plus there’s live music pre-show in the bar from Last Summer’s Tealights 9pm and a DJ set from Ben Eshmade afterwards until midnight.
Booking 4 or more tickets? Book by phone and ask for the mini group offer to get the fourth ticket free!
You can also book your ticket via text for £5- simply text ticket, followed by your surname to 82023 and your account will be debited £5, with your ticket available to pick up on the night.
