For the first of two intimate shows at the Greenwich Festival we’re joined by four musicians and a special guest singer for a programme of baroque music that all comes from London– including music from Henry Purcell and Thomas Arne. Arne achieved lasting fame as the composer of Rule, Britannia! Let’s hope that by this point in the Games we have reason to sing it…
The Night Shift is a rules-free classical event, so drinks are welcome, you can come and go as you please and the whole evening is introduced by our presenter, Jon Jacob. Please also note that this is a standing event, with limited seating.
Programme is a repeat of that given on 1 August at the Lewisham Big Screen Spiegeltent.
Doors open at 8.10pm, with live sets at 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Show finishes at 10pm.
Please check your travel arrangements as public transport may be busy due to the Games.
