OAE Nurturing Talent
Musicians are inspired by other musicians and great teachers. Orchestras are inspired by great directors and conductors. The cycle is ever moving and through the OAE’s Nurturing Talent programme we hope to open eyes and ears and inspire musicians to look beyond the practice room to the concert hall and the communities in which they play. We have developed our OAE Experience scheme whereby players audition to become part of the OAE for a year and we offer them the chance to perform in concerts, the OAE Academy (a three day intensive music course), as well as OAE Education projects. In addition we work with a variety of organisations such as Community Music (CM) and Plymouth Music Zone (PMZ) to develop projects with community musicians and young leaders.
‘OAE Academy’ – 7th-9th Jan 2015
Led by Maggie Faultless, our OAE Academy returns with a three day intensive course at the Amadeus Centre for our OAE Experience players.
Across the year we will offer a comprehensive package of opportunities for OAE Experience players to join projects such as the Watercycle residencies across the country as well as string club work, coaching, REMIX and special needs work.
