Okay, so we're not great at maths. But we are good at bringing our instruments down the pub and putting on a show… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We kick the 2013 Night Shift Pub Tour off at The Bedford on 9 September for a spot of late night music, top ale and international lager.
Just 5 minutes walk from Balham tube/rail station; the Bedford has been entertaining punters since the 60s and has given acts like The Clash and U2 a platform to voice their talents.
Steeped in history, The Bedford started life as a hotel in the 1830’s and has always been a central community hub for the residents of Balham. It was famously used as a courtroom for the unsolved murder case of Charles Bravo. Now, The Bedford is a quirky, award-winning pub. It offers fresh, uncomplicated tasty food and a fine, extensive menu of beer and wine.
As a venue The Bedford hosts comedy, cabaret, dancing and a variety of music acts – all in it’s two tiered mini-roundhouse style back room. Artists such as Ed Sheeran, James Morrison and Newton Faulkner first performed here and The Bedford continues to be committed to discovering new talent.
So why not join us on the first date of The Night Shift Pub Tour and explore and discover the music of Franz Joseph Haydn, together with a world premiere by Kate Whitley in an incredible atmosphere with a bit of British pub grub and a cider* by your side.
