The OAE launched a new initiative for young conductors in the 2008/9 season when conductor Philipp von Steinaecker was selected to spend a year working with the OAE. With generous support from OAE patrons Greg and Gail Melgaard we are proud to be taking the scheme into its second year. This exciting scheme with its emphasis on the mutual sharing of experience will offer young conductors a unique opportunity which in its depth, comprehensiveness and originality, truly represents the spirit of OAE.
