Help us develop our Facebook Timeline

Wed 21 Mar 2012

As you may know, we have a lively Facebook page for the OAE, where we post links to all the new articles on this blog and much more besides (sometimes it’s things perhaps a little too strange or flippant for our official website!). On 30 March Facebook is changing all Pages to the new ‘Timeline ‘design. As well as a funky new layout for the page this means that we can develop a timeline that goes right back to the Orchestra’s first ever concert, almost 26 years ago. So we will be adding important events in the OAE’s history, old pictures and so on.

Some things are obvious – the very first picture of the OAE, our first appearance at Glyndebourne, the appointment of our Principal Artists, etc. But we want your contributions too. What have been your longest lasting memories of the OAE? Which performances or events have lingered in your memory? What is your favourite picture of the OAE ?  What events do you think have really come to define the Orchestra? Let us know and we can incorporate your ideas into the Timeline. Leave a comment here or over on our Facebook page. We look forward to your ideas!

New The Night Shift advertising

One for Night Shift fans – we’ve got a little vote going on over on our Night Shift Facebook page to help us decide on the flyer designs for the next year or so of events. Our designer Martin from INTRO has come up with two great options, ‘Abstract Architecture’ and ‘Pop Art Vs Vorticists’, and there’s a pic of each option here plus more over on Facebook. We’re going to close voting tomorrow so get your votes in now!
